If you do not have very many single people attending your wedding, you may want to do the married couples dance instead of the bouquet and garter toss. The married couples dance is when all the married couples come on to the dance floor to dance with their spouse. The bride and groom will remain on the dance floor. The DJ or MC will then play a song as the couples dance together. The DJ or MC will ask those couples who have been married less than a year to exit the dance floor. The DJ or MC will continue asking couples who have been married less than 5 years, 10 years, etc to exit the dance floor until the couple who has been married the longest is remaining on the dance floor with the bride and groom. The bride will then dance with the man who has been married the longs and present him with the garter. The groom will dance with the woman who has been married the longest and present her with the bouquet. Here are some suggestions for the anniversary dance:

Money Dance

The money dance is a nice way to collect some money for the bride and groom to help with starting their new lives together. A great way to do the money dance and have the opportunity to talk to some of your guests one-on-one is to have a money dance to all slow songs. The bride, groom, best man, and maid of honor will come out to the dance floor. The best man will collect the money for the groom and the maid of honor will collect the money for the bride. The DJ or MC will explain the money dance and encourage guests to bring their money up and dance with either/or the bride and groom. The DJ or MC should explain this is the opportunity for the bride and groom to talk one-on-one with each of their guests as they come to dance with you. The best man and maid of honor are responsible for telling each person in line when to cut-in. The best man and maid of honor should allow approximately 1 minute per person. Any slow song will work during the money dance.

Last Dance

The last dance is a nice way to inform everyone the evening has come to an end. The last dance is also a nice way to see the bride and groom off. Here are some suggestions for the last dance:

Donna Summers - Last Dance

Nora Jones - Come Away With Me

Bill Medley and Jennifer Warners - I've Had the Time of My Life (Dirty Dancing)
