Wedding Party Introduction

The wedding party introduction is utilized to inform all of your guests that the wedding party and most importantly the Bride and Groom have arrived. Introductions can be upbeat and energetic or low-key and romantic, it depends on your style.

Individually Served Dinner or Buffet Style Dinner

It is recommended to have some kind of background music playing during the dinner. Some facilities have a house system that can play background music. However, if you are planning on having a DJ, it is recommended to have the DJ scheduled to play background music during dinner. This way, the DJ is not arriving after everyone else has arrived to begin setting up equipment. Normally, a DJ should be setup and ready to play music when the first guest arrives. Some DJs even take the initiative to dismiss the tables individually to the buffet line to help maintain control of the flow of traffic. Ask your DJ if he would dismiss the tables.

Toast

Traditionally, the toast is done by the Best Man. More commonly, toast are done by the Best Man, Maid of Honor, entire wedding party, Father of the Groom, Father of the Bride and whom ever else the Bride and Groom would like to make a toast.

Cake Cutting

The cake cutting is the special time where the Bride and Groom cut the cake and feed each other a piece of cake. The cutting of the cake signifies the desert is ready to be served.

Bride and Groom First Dance

It is recommended to have the Bride and Groom do their first dance after the cake cutting. This allows the staff the opportunity to finish cutting the cake for the rest of the guests

Father and Bride Dance

The Father and Bride dance is a special dance that gives the Father-of-the-Bride and the Bride the opportunity to talk one-on-one.

Mother and Groom Dance

The Mother and Groom dance is a special dance that gives the Mother-of-the-Groom and the Groom the opportunity to talk one-on-one.

Bouquet Toss

The bouquet toss is a tradition at most weddings. The bouquet toss gathers all the single ladies in the room to come out on the dance floor to catch the Brides bouquet. It is superstition that the lady who catches the bouquet is the next lady to get married. It is also superstition that if the lady who intended on catching the bouquet, drops the bouquet, she will be the last lady to get married.

Garter Retrieval

The garter retrieval is tradition for the Groom to remove the garter from the brides leg.

Garter Toss

The garter toss is a tradition to get all of the single guys on the dance floor to catch the garter that was just removed from the brides leg. Much like the bouquet, it is superstition that the guy who catches the garter is the next guy to get married.

Anniversary Dance

This is a dance where all the married couples come to the dance floor to dance with the newlyweds. The dance is danced to a slow song. During the song, the MC ask those who have been married less than 1 year (excluding the bride and groom) to exit the dance floor. Next the MC asks those who have been married less than 5 years, then 10 years, etc. The couples keep exiting the dance floor until there is only one couple remaining on the dance floor with the Bride and Groom. A round of applause is given to the couple that has been married the longest. It is recommended that the Bride then dances with the male, and the Groom dances with the female. It is suggested that the couple who has been married the longest give some words of advice to the newlyweds.
